For the past eight years, the Ateneo de Manila University Ricardo Leong Center for Chinese Studies, in partnership with the Ateneo Celadon showcases culture-rich Chinese films to the Philippines through its annual Spring Film Festival.

Aside from showing films in Metro Manila, Cebu,Davao Iloilo and Cagayan de Oro, they recently added Naga, Dagupan, Baguio as its expanded its audience for the said filmfest.

DepEd received rice donations for back-to-school feeding program

Recently, The Department of Education received one thousand sacks of rice donated by the Philippine Disaster   Recovery Foundation (PDRF).

The Department of Education together with the Philippine Disaster Recovery Foundation inked the memorandum of agreement for the 1, 000 sacks of rice donation in support to the feeding program efforts of the Department in the Yolanda affected regions. Presents are (DSC_0035.JPG / left to right) Ms. Veronica Gabaldon, Program Manager, PDRF; Ms. Jane Basas, Consultant PDRF; Mr. Rene Meily, President, PDRF, Br. Armin A. Luistro FSC, Secretary- DepEd; Mr. Mario Deriquito, Undersecretary- DepEd; Ms. Merlie Asprer, Secretariat, Adopt-a-school.

 

The said donations will be distribute for DepEd’s school-based feeding program in areas devastated by super typhoon Yolanda. DepEd and PDRF signed a Memorandum of Agreement clarifying details of said donation.
